Time Flies When You're Having Fun or Not

It has been a while since my last visit to the Two Beans site and I for one am ashamed. Being that I am a co-writer on this magnificent blog, who only works part-time and goes to school full-time has done nothing, but to wallow around as the months pass by.

That is...until I gave my two weeks notice at my job (meaning I quit). When I first got my job, it was April 2011 and I cannot forget how excited I felt to have such a job.

Can you see the excitement? Woot...

Anyways, I was extremely excited about my job, but after a few months in retail, I began to just hate every one and I mean E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E.

Of course, I have to deal with one whole department that consists of crazy women, confused men and obnoxious little devils bundles of joy. Not to mention that I at some point entered a dark place last year because of an imbecile, which just made me hate everyone and also EVERYTHING. So after wallowing in depression for quite some time last year, I entered 2012 with hopes of changing my life upside down and starting new.

Now October 2012, I finally began to wake up because as far as I know my whole 2012 has been quite a blur and though I have been having my fair share of fun, I have had my fair share of not going anywhere in life. So as a push to get me somewhere in life, I resigned my job and got a whole bunch of interviews to different internships in Public Relations/Marketing.

So what is different about this year:

1) I ended up changing my career choice to one that is most suitable for me and I ended up picking PR because that is one career I see myself doing for the rest of my life.

2) I also ended up trading my dangerous metal monster of a car for a new car that makes my road trips fun and safe.

3) I still have money in the bank account (I have learned to budget...yay for being responsible)

4) I met a new asshole (and I know for a fact he WILL NOT be my new boyfriend)

5) I will finally be applying to graduation (FINALLY!!)

Though it is not exactly what I wanted in life, I am getting there and though time has been flying not because of fun, but rather because of stress, I know that I will succeed...

sooner or later.

  4. Thank you for the love! I am very happy that I left. It wasn't a bad job, just not the career I am going for.

Apparently, leaving comments on this blog is a hit-or-miss game of Russian roulette: you are either lucky and can comment away, or you are required to log in when the settings are CLEARLY set to allow trouble-free commenting (sorry 'bout that, folks). If anything, the Facebook page is always a viable option. :) -Barb
