Before 2013 completely disappears...

As 2014 slowly approaches, I wanted to take this time to share photos of all the marvelous Christmas trees I've seen.

Just kidding. I won't put you through that torture. I think one Christmas tree is enough for this year.

Anyways, while reading Barb's post on spending Christmas alone, her recap of 2013 had me thinking of all the events in my life throughout the year. Even though certain events didn't come out the way I wanted them to, I must say that it wasn't a completely terrible year.

Every event taught me something new and the older I seem to be getting the wiser I am becoming.

That being said, here is a recap of my 2013 and the lessons I've learned.

1. I began my internship for a non profit and was bullied by the other interns.

What I've learned: Bullying doesn't only happen in middle school.

2. I started my new job in my chosen field.

What I've learned: I'm a winner!

3. I moved in with a couple.

What I've learned: If you have options, run!

4. I reconnected with an old acquaintance through facebook.

What I've learned: Facebook brings people together.

5. I graduated college and earned my bachelors!

What I've learned: You can finish school after all.

6. Saw my ex-boyfriend with his new wifey the same day I graduated.

What I've learned: Orlando is too damn small.

7. Went to New York with one of my friends to see this so called acquaintance.

What I've learned: Never EVER go to harlem at night again.

8. This old acquaintance became my bestie and soon my not by choice friends with benefits.

What I've learned: It's okay to say no. I HAVE a choice.

9. I went to Chicago with my friends with benefits and soon realized what it was like to be used.

What I've learned: no matter how well you know a person, always listen to your gut.

10. Got my heart broken.

What I've learned: I am the only one to blame for this, but at least I didn't pay for the hotel in Chicago or New York.

11. Guy I had a crush on last year (guy I also made out with) comes back into my life.

What I've learned: They always come back.

12. Old crush quickly becomes a fling and then ends up moving away.

What I've learned: My feelings for him weren't the same as last year. Moving was the best thing he ever did (at least for me).

13. Went to Seattle to see a friend.

What I've learned: No matter how far friends are, they still care about you.

14. Saw French bean and went to Georgia.

What I've learned: Adventures are always so much fun with friends! And never trust hotel pictures, they lie about their appearance.

15. I move again with the couple and a single guy to a bigger house.

What I've learned: Rooms being too close together calls for disaster.

16. A close friend hurts me.

What I've learned: sometimes even when you don't want to, you have to let go of the negative people in your life. Even if you really care for them.

17. I go on a 7 day cruise with one of my  friends and connect with a cutie on the cruise.

What I've learned: Never give him your number.

18. Cutie and I start to "date" but in the end  it fails.

What I've learned: Things happen for a reason.

19. I take off for Christmas to Budapest.

What I've learned: Office jobs are not for me and hopefully some day I will be able to find a job that lets me travel.

This year was a crazy one for me filled with good, bad and crazy events. Even though, I didn't move to New York as planned, it gave me a chance to reflect on some of the choices I've made and now that 2013 is almost gone, I will be applying the lessons I've learned to the next chapter of my life.

Now that I've tortured you with my list of events, let me leave you with one last torturous thing.

CHRISTMAS TREES!

Have a Happy New Year!

The Two Six Year Olds, the Grumpy Cat and the Hoarder

My house consists of three rooms and four people. Two of them are a couple and the other two are single.

When I first moved in with my friends/roommates, I only lived with the couple. At the time, I lived in a small apartment with my own walk-in closet and a private bathroom. Life was great until the couple decided to move and well having no where else to go and very little options, I followed. We ended up moving into a bigger house with higher rent and an extra room. And that is where the story of the two six year olds, grumpy cat and the hoarder begins.

Moving into a house that has all the bedrooms close in proximity, is rarely ever a good idea. Especially, when you live with a couple. This was not a problem in the last apartment, but once we moved into the house, everything became a problem.

From the temperature in the house to the dishes in the sink. The new addition to our little "family" was both a blessing and disaster in disguise.

Of course, I never had a problem with the addition, but I did have some issues with the couple or should I say the two six year olds.

The Two Six Year Old's

AKA the couple. They are the ones who argue day in and day out. One points fingers at others when he makes a mistake and throws fits like a child, while the other one stomps her way out the door when she doesn't get her way. There is a list of things they do that puts them in this category, but this does not affect me as much as it affects the Grumpy Cat.

The Grumpy Cat

He has been my entertainment for the past few months. While the couple are always huddled in their room, he has been the very person who has kept me sane. Although, his sarcasm can be too much to handle sometimes, it has never caused an argument between us. Grumpy cat also makes silly impersonations, one being the Grumpy Cat -- Same face and all! Grumpy Cat is a neat freak and having shared a bathroom with me, he has indirectly called me a hoarder.

The Hoarder

That's me! Okay so I am not much of a hoarder, but I do have a bunch of crap in my room, which in some odd way makes me feel like a hoarder. I am usually never home, but when I am, I get annoyed by the couple from time to time, especially when the heater is on. Not only is the heater a waste of money, but it also has me sweating to death.

My living situation has been a rather interesting one with so many different characters in the house, it is no wonder that the house almost burned down! but that my dear readers is for another post.

Now that you are all well aware of my roommates, it will be much easy to talk about the crazy crap I've had to deal with this year with the two six year olds and the grumpy cat.

I've never had much luck with amazing roommates, but it's much better than the crazy roommate I had and her inmate boyfriend who used to stare me down...

I'm sure I am not the only one who has had to deal with roommates, so please share your stories and soon enough I will post about the day my house almost burned down.

Why I Sound Kooky When I Speak

Lately, I've been experiencing all kinds of stress. From going through all kinds of berserk moments to complications in my living situation. Anyone who ever talks to me, will know that I'm the type of girl with all kinds of true crazy stories. I'm the type of girl that makes insane people look normal.

Every so often, I get into situations that makes me wonder if I am secretly being filmed for a sitcom. Kind of like the Truman Show, except more dramatically funny.

Just the other day, I had such experience. One very late night, I was driving to Downtown Disney to pick up some friends that had come to visit me. Since I was stuck at work the whole day, I decided to drop them off at Disney. The plan was to get out of work, pick them up and go back home, but plans never come out as expected.

On my way to pick up my friends, one of my tires blew out. I didn't notice and so I kept driving on the highway until I got to Disney. That's when things got worse...

In Downtown Disney, 10 minutes later....

Of course, it wasn't just a flat tire you could easily repair. In fact, it was irreparable. Luckily, I had a spare tire.

Unfortunately, the tire ended up being the wrong replacement tire for my car. So we decided to ask for help.

We did manage to find a good man, who just so happened to work at the chocolate store to help us out with  the tire, but that was after taking a taxi all the way to Walmart to buy a lug wrench (I didn't have one in my car). Of course there was nothing much to do since the tire was irreparable and it was around 1 a.m. so I couldn't just buy another tire.

Finally, after doing everything possible to fix the car, a man working at Downtown Disney decided to pay a taxi to take us home (I guess they aren't all puppets).

So I got back home with nothing, but the irreparable, flat tire. My car was left in hell Downtown Disney with the puppets security people.

The next morning...

I think some people actually took this as a joke on my FB, but what I had to deal with was much more serious. Especially, since I couldn't find anyone to give me a ride to Downtown Disney and had to take yet another taxi to the tire center. On top of that, rolling the tire on the side of the road, was becoming a little dangerous.

Well, needless to say, we did get to the tire place in a taxi and one of my friends did rescue me from having to spend 100 dollars on a taxi to Downtown Disney. My friends and I were finally able to put the new tire on my car and we were finally able to get back home with the car. Although, it was a horrible experience at the moment, it makes quite a comical story. Especially, if I emphasize the part where I was looking like a hobo carrying a tire down the streets of Orlando.

Of course, it wasn't the only thing that had happened to me, which only makes me sound even more kooky, but I'll leave the rest of the stories for another day.

I'm not sure what I was trying to say, but this also proves that I DO sound kooky when I speak.

I should really consider starting my own 'the shit Hanny says' page.

Ramen Makes Me Sad

The other day, while surfing through Netflix, I found an odd movie called The Ramen Girl. The movie is about a  woman who moves to Tokyo to be with her boyfriend, but is later abandoned there by the bastard. This poor abandoned soul ends up fascinated with the making of ramen and thus begins her adventures as the  new ramen chef.

I thought this movie was going to be boring, but alas, it turned out to be funny, especially when you have a language barrier.

Well after watching the movie, I felt like having ramen, but of course I never have any in my house. I don't want to look like a sumo wrestler eating ramen alone for 1 month. I can't just do that, unless I have super fast metabolism, which I don't.

Not only was I craving ramen, but I started to feel sad. I'm not sure if the sadness began because of my need for ramen or because the movie portrayed the struggles of a ramen chef, but I felt unhappy. My thoughts were all over the place, I didn't know what to do with myself.

Of course, I fell asleep after a moment of craziness and forgot all about it. Until I went to the grocery store and saw a pack of ramen.

Now, every time I see a pack of ramen, I get instantly sad. FML.

Twilight Saturday

I have come to the conclusion that I...am jinxed. Every week something has to just go wrong or worse turn into another episode of The Twilight Zone (no not the one with the shiny vampires). A few weeks back, I thought it would finally be a normal week for me, but I guess entering the "Twilight Zone" is now an every week thing in my life.

Saturday was supposed to be just another day where I would go to work, come home, chat with the roommates and figure out what to do...Well I got that wrong.

When I went to work, my managers had told me that I would be working in the men's department instead of my usual kid's department. If I haven't mentioned it before I work at a really AWESOME store called I don't want paparazzi's so I'm not telling you.

As usual, I went to get my lunch at the food court because I tend to forget my lunch. So I ended up getting a nice, delicious wrap from Chicken NOW.

Five minutes into my wrap and there it was the hideous little critter hiding in my food, but what's this...it wasn't just one....but TWO (not shown in picture).

After throwing away the disgusting wrap, I went back to work to a department full of people. Since it was raining outside, people had swarmed into the store like bees in a hive. By the time I clocked out of work, it was still raining.

I finally ended up going home and sat right in front of the computer, but as I sat there alone I started to hear noises. Pounding, scratching, voices...I thought I was going insane so I took off with my computer and went to Starbucks.

I sat down at one of the Starbucks table and wondered what my boyfriend (now ex-boyfriend) was doing. I tried to concentrate on what I was doing, but the more I just thought of the boyfriend, the more I had realized that I was becoming a bit crazy over him. To ease my thoughts, I went back home to see if my roommates were home.

I walked through the door and I heard someone screaming, I went outside to see if my roommate's car was there, but there was no roommates car. I left the apartment before the screaming people would come out to get me.

I was headed for the computer lab, but before i could get into the room, I had a group of guys hitting on me.

"Hey. Hey girlllllll, why aren't you talking to me?"

"Hi..." "Come talk to me. You know you want to."

"...."

"I can be your transformer!"

That was the last thing I heard before I got into the room.

Eventually, I went back home to find my roommates there and found out that the screaming was coming from my roommates room, who was watching a horror movie. Only I would think they were real.

Welcome to my crazy world....

B-B-B-Boooooyfriiiiieeend?!

I can't bring myself to saying it, I am still in shock as to what I got myself into. It happened rather quick and unexpectedly. Since last Wednesday, I became someones girlfriend.

That's right, I said G-I-R-L-F-R-I-E-N-D. The very word I have to spell out because I am still in shock that I now have that title.

Anyone in my position would feel happy to be in such a great relationship, but for some odd reason, I am having trouble accepting it. Sure, I was hoping for the day we would be "official," but the very word boyfriend sounds weird to me.

Perhaps, it is the fact that I have been single for about a year now or maybe because it feels "too good to be true."

Maybe it's because it is just recent or most likely it could be the fact that I had gotten so used to bashing my ex-boyfriend, crushing on random boobahs, or getting hit on by a creeper. Either way, I still can't bring myself to saying the damned word without stuttering.

Hopefully with time, it will get better.

Video Rants

On my spare time, I like to watch youtube videos. Sometimes, I'll watch them just to see what everyone else is complaining about.

about a month ago, I came across a video everyone on the internet kept complaining about. I didn't think it would be as bad as I thought, but I was wrong. When I first heard this video, my ears were bleeding from the bad singing and my mind went into the most bizarre rants I have ever had.

Rebecca Black- It's Friday

Not only do the kids in the car look young to be driving, but she looks too young to even be going out. For someone who is singing about Friday, she doesn't seem too excited, especially when she mentions partying. Of course she's not wearing anything slutty (I'll give her props for that), but she looks too emo to be going out. Why are the other girls dressed in color and she's in black? and is it just me or does it seem that every time they do a close up of her, she's on the toilet with a bad case of diarrhea? No one in this video looks like they are having fun...."We So Excited"...who is we?? all the other kids look terrified that they might get whipped or thrown in the torture chamber.

Who is that guy in the car? and why is he in the video? were they trying to make this a rap video? Who is he supposed to be? Is there a point to the video? They just randomly added a guy driving to who knows where and she's just looking more psychotic in every shot. They should have just put a phony Santa Claus on the toilet, I rather see that then children screaming help on the inside.

The next video that I just have to talk about is called the Apple Store Dance.

The kid must be like 10 years old, but he has moves. Where the hell did he learn to move like that?? He obviously has no shame since he has other videos in the Apple store dancing to different music. What's up with the girl in the furry hat? They let animals in the Apple store now? If you pause the video in 0:00, the girl on the left is making the scariest face...kind of looks demonic.

Pause it at 1:34...shouldn't that move be Rated R for someone his age? I can't imagine what he will be like when he is an adult...

Kids...they are so creative.

This next video left me saying WTF...seriously this world is so messed up.

Das Beer Boot Music

What the crap does cheese have to do with beer? I know they are talking about the boot glass, but really? cheese?? and how about that energy drink...5 hours crap...he's basically stating it will kill you if you overdose on it, learn from the beer boot man people, but wait what is this?! he is alive?! Only to go over dose on pancakes, chocolate, and some other stuff you can fit in the beer boot glass....why did he have to be German? Why not Russian? Russians drink too...

Pause at 1:02, that is so nasty his wiener in butter?! did he say butter?? eww. This guy is really excited about his damn boot glass (though it makes me want to get one...).

Last but not least, this video is just too funny! I couldn't help laughing at this video.

My Drunk Kitchen

I'm not sure if she is drunk, but its hilarious what can happen in the kitchen. I wouldn't recommend cooking drunk...especially if you might end up blacking out leaving the stove on. "This is a show about friendship" - I thought it was about cooking, this girl seems to be forgetting what she is doing. She's making grilled cheese sandwiches, but she has no cheese...Pause at 2:26, I think she almost smoked the place.

While cooking, lets talk about toilet seats! because instead of making food, she wants to talk about toilet seats. I like her rules, its always amazing to see what drunk people come up with.
You gotta love the fact that she only ended up eating bread...this goes to show drunk people can't cook. Obviously.

That's all for my video rants.

Not Another Late Night Post with Coffee Bean

As usual, I am awake unable to sleep.

(Even though I had about 4 vodka jello shots)

So as an apology for not writing as often as I should, I decided that tonight would be the perfect time to post my findings in this world.

I found this one day when I was passing by a picnic table on campus, and I fell in love. Yes, it is my little penis and though I did not draw it, I love it as my own.

People don't eat their crackers anymore, they stick it on the wall as decoration. Well at least they get the concept of 'recycle and reuse'.

Yong Li (whoever she or he is) seems to have lost a set of earphones, but I do have my suspicion this so called he-she has eaten the mouse pad (or probably used it in place of toilet paper) because I could not find that mouse pad. Instead, all I found was this paper taped to the table, which for a few seconds I thought was the new mouse pad....

If you look on the right 2 rows down (underneath Italian Restaurant), you will see a total fail...For being a card store, Hallmark fails with their sign.

Well that is all for now, but I will soon find more oddities in this world....

Yogurt-Crazed Addict

After a long day of summer classes and walking all over campus, there is nothing more relaxing than a visit to my nearest yogurt place. Luckily for me, the nearest yogurt place is right next to my apartment. What are the odds of a yogurt-crazed maniac having a yogurt place as her neighbor? I mean how AMAZING is that?! So I decided to go to Yogurtopia for some delicious, self-served yogurt with all the toppings of my choosing. Well my 10 oz. cup consisted of Coconilla (coconut and vanilla) and double cookies and cream yogurt. Topped with brownie, rocky road brownie, strawberries, and oreos.
Without even realizing it I ended up devouring the whole thing in about 10 minutes, which is not bad for me, especially since I have been known to finish one in 5 minutes.I was not exaggerating when I said I was a yogurtholic, if it weren't for closing hours, I would probably be over there now; eating my free yogurt, which i will receive soon enough thanks to my stamp card! This is not my first stamp card, by the way. I've had others before, and till this day I am still not bored of yogurt.
