Concert Day: Did I go?

It was 11am, when I frantically got out of bed. I turned on my computer, and as I impatiently waited for it to load, I began to make a mess in my room. "What do I wear?" I thought, as I threw clothes around trying to prepare myself for the concert. Once the computer was ready, I quickly got online, and looked around for anyone selling their passion pit tickets, but no luck.
Usually I am not the sort to go on such sites as craigslist, but this was a moment of desperation. So as I looked around on craigslist, I found a few tickets, but to my misfortune they were gone within seconds. I, however, was not going to give up. So as all my brilliant plans, I ended up posting a wanted ad, so that people would know I was looking for tickets. Well I waited and waited, but as all my other efforts, I still had no luck...

My friend ended up coming to my place around 4:30pm, and still by then I had no tickets. We still ended up leaving; hoping that there would be selling tickets at the door, and so that's when the real adventure began.

It took about thirty minutes to get to my destination, and it took fifteen minutes of going around in circles to find parking. Finally, I found a parking garage that only charged seven dollars for their service. I eagerly got out of the car and made my way to the building the show was being held at.

I ended up waiting for about fifteen minutes before I was notified that the show had completely sold out!! Oh the agony! the destruction and failure I had caused upon myself! I was so close to them, but yet so far! With a sad expression on my face and a huge sigh, I ended up leaving the place.

As I drove back, My friend and I decided to go get some pizza. So we ended up in this popular little place called "Lazy Moon", where their pizzas are as big as thirty inches.

(One slice is like having two pieces of pizza).

While I was there drowning my sorrows in pizza, I decided to check my email on my phone. My eyes widened when I saw that someone had made me an offer on my craigslist ad.

Two tickets to see Passion Pit.

I was hysterical! and out of frustration I laughed. It was already 7:30pm; the concert would start in thirty minutes, and I was thirty minutes from the place. I would not have been able to get the tickets on time, and finding parking by then would be even worse .

I put my phone down mad at myself for not checking the email sooner, after all it was sent around 5:30pm...

When I got out of the pizza place, my friend and I decided to go to the movies, but the trip to the movie theaters just added more to our adventure. I took out my gps in search of a new movie theater, and once i had found one I was on my way.

Well turns out the theater I had chosen only offered two movies, and the whole place looked under construction. Needless to say, I had to find another movie theater, and once I did, I once again was on my way.

I drove the distance, but the movie theater was just what I was looking for; surrounded by cute little shops, fancy restaurants, and a great atmosphere overall. It wasn't too hard to pick a movie, since my friend and I had an idea as to what we wanted to see.

Get Him To The Greek.

I am not a person that is easily amused or maybe I am (and I just do not know it), but this movie made me laugh. Big time. If I had to give it a rating I would give it a seven out of ten. Keep in mind that I am no critic, so what I may find funny may not be funny to everyone.

So after the movie, I ended up going home.

I may not have gone to the concert of my most beloved band, but my day was still just as great and enjoyable. Sure, I did end up losing seven dollars for a parking space I needed for fifteen minutes, I didn't know about the offer till thirty minutes before the concert started, I ended up with an empty tank for driving around in circles, my car now makes noises, which I have no idea how it happened, my room is a mess, and I never got to meet passion pit.

But, overall I still had a great time.
